C2E	Latest Fire Safety House Visit by C2E Jalan Kayu

FIRE SAFETY VISIT AT BLOCK 502 SERANGOON NORTH AVENUE 4

There were 2 incidents of rubbish chute fire at Block 502 Serangoon North Ave 4, within a 4-month period this year (2010). This prompted our Jalan Kayu C2E (Community Emergency & Engagement) Committee to conduct a Fire Safety Visit today, on the 9th of May 2010 at 10.00am.

After a short briefing, the participants were divided into 2 teams. We took a group photo before starting our tour of duty. The following volunteers participated the Fire Safe Visit today; from JKC2E, RC Zone 6 & the Town Council - Sahul, Mohd Yusoff, Paul Lim, Salmah, Loh Soo Har, Salihin and his 3 daughters, Winston (not in picture), Lam Sey Ngau, Eddie Lim, Victor Ang & Shu Li.

Residents were informed of rubbish chute prevention and general fire safety. 20 units participated in the fire safety survey out of 78 units from the Block. During our tour of duty, Rubbish Chute fire preventive message stickers were pasted on every floors of Centralized Rubbish Chute.
