About 160 new immigrants were invited to a High Tea session with MP Mr Wee Siew Kim on 6 Mar afternoon at Jalan Kayu Hall, Hwi Yoh CC. The event was organized by Jalan Kayu Integration & Naturalization Champions.

These new immigrant were treated to a multi-cultural entertainment programme comprising Chinese, Malay, Indian, Mexican and Philipino items, and had free chit-chat with Mr Wee over high tea thereafter.

During his welcoming address, Mr Wee stressed that, despite the recent measures to give Singaporeans a better treatment in school fees, etc., we still welcome new immigrants for the progress of our economy.
